ColdRead

Terms

Terms of use.

Plain language. Coldread is bring-your-own-key software served free as a research preview by PeachStateAI. The terms below describe what you agree to when you use the web UI; they do not waive any rights you have under applicable law.

0. This is a draft pending counsel review

Read it as the honest intent; the bound version follows launch.

The text below describes how we intend to operate the Coldread web UI. PeachStateAI will publish a counsel-reviewed, dated version of these terms before any paid offering goes live. Until then, this draft is the operating intent and supersedes nothing in your favor.

1. What Coldread is

Coldread is open-source software developed by PeachStateAI (Newnan, GA). The web UI at coldread.com is a hosted instance of the same code, provided as a free research preview. The CLI and MCP server are released under the MIT license and run entirely on your machine.

2. Bring your own key

You provide your own Anthropic API key. All Anthropic API charges incurred by your runs go to your Anthropic account. PeachStateAI does not pay for, subsidize, or remit any portion of those charges. See /privacy for how the key is handled.

3. Acceptable use

What you agree not to do, and a few notes on what we don't police.

You agree not to use Coldread to:

Things we explicitly do not police:

3a. Limitations and known constraints

What the system can't do, in plain English.

4. Output and accuracy

Coldread reactions are generated by language models speaking as written personas. They are not real human responses and are not market research. Use them as directional signal only. PeachStateAI makes no representation that any score, theme, or recommendation produced by the system reflects the views of any real person, demographic group, or market segment. Treat the output as an input to your judgment, not a substitute for it. See /methodology for the longer version.

5. No warranty

The web UI is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. PeachStateAI does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. The MIT license terms in the open repo govern the underlying code.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PeachStateAI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Coldread web UI. Your sole remedy if you are dissatisfied is to stop using the service.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the open repo with a dated commit. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
